Sorry it took me swo long to post these ladies i've just had alot going on. These were great to swap and I cant wait to make some looks w/ these excuse my sloppy swatching but I was in a rush to get it done. Also why has no one told me that if u go from swatching a OPI pro bottle to a OPI mini bottle u will feel like you've gone from a paint brush to a fine detail nail art brush. I guess i've never bought one of the pro brush bottles b4 and it was very much the same brush as my Sally Hansen Hidden Treasure. I have wide nails so I like that I can cover more are in one stroke, but they can be messy too. I'm still in the middle on these brushes. Also the mini brush for OPI can we say little but maybe I just felt that way from going from one extreme to the other. I know you have all seen these colors before but they are new to me and I LOVE EM!!!!

Icing Money talks, I saw this on a site don't remember which one and I like it very deep green light from with in looks different in some of my pics but not black like some dark shades.

Piggy Polish the right to bare feet ( i know for the toes but my feet not pretty so thumb shot) I LOVE THIS wow look at that color pay off 2 coats maybe 3.

Color club 2 violet 2 coats as always cc can do no wrong in my book only did 2 coats cause i didnt want to have to spend an hr getting it off great alone or for layering.

My nail of the day Confetti Smitten w/ SH Hidden Treasures over top. I love this Wish I had some sunshine so I could show u a pick of how great this looks. The smitten really shows purple in the sun and w/ Hidden treasure over it its amazing. Gotta take it off in a little bit cause i've got work tomorrow how lame.

I really chipped that middle nail after only 1 day.

Hi ladies! Hope your all doing well thought i'd post a few pics of some new clothes and a purse I recently picked up. Also show off my very short nails, with my recent job i've not been allowed to wear polish so i'm hoping to get some pics up soon of some nail art. so these are my poor abused nails lovely aren't they? gotta get all the nail polish removed but ive been un motivated. But no longer they are going to get the full treatment this weekend!

Ladies i've had a death in my family my Uncle Ronnie passed away. Plus i've had a few other life problems get in the way so I am going to extend the contest to Oct. 22nd 2010. Today is my little sister Lauren's Bday I am unable to see her and tell her Happy Birthday due to some issues. (a very long story) But if she happens to stumble upon this Happy 17th Bday Lauren!!!!! You are missed and LOVED by me and MOM.

Life is too short live it to the fullest......it truly is better to burn out than to just fade away. Today as well as every other day I want to extend my love and caring to my family, friends, nail family, and everyone else. Just think we are all 3 people away from knowing everyone in the world. That said I want to find those last 3 people and know them, make the world a better place lets learn from the tragedy the pain lets do the hardest thing there is to do in this world lets live in it. (Buffyism at its best).

So here we have Studio M Not So Subtle part of there new fall line. Ill be going back for the rest. Its a grey lavender type shade and I LOVE IT it applied like a dream the color pigment is A+ another hit from Meijer I love there brand polish. This is 3 coats. Could get away w/ 2.Here is a pic of my bare nails my poor broken nails.Confetti - My Favorite Martian this is 4 coats the pic shows nail line but i couldnt see it irl. Fun color reminds me of Sinful show me the way . Great sparkle cant wait to use it in a mani could color good application will be buying more of these soon cause i heard they wont be restocking due to some kind of lawsuit. Smitten- This is amazing its a blue purple sparkle from within gemstone. I took a ton of pics hoping to show this off to the best i think i got some great shots but im going to have to take some sun shots. This is 3 coats could have been 2. Again im liking these Confetti colors wish they wernt getting stopped. Will have to grab some more b4 they are gone.

So i just started a new job that says i cant wear polish when im working so that blows to me but i will be working these into some great designs and ill get em posted when i can. Im also going to go back to Meijers and get some more of there new fall shades at least they have names this year so much easier there colors looked similar to some of China Glazes new fall line so ill have to grab some of them for a comparison. First off a pic of Gizmo can't go wrong with a smiling Maltese!
A Pic of my nail growth so fsr on my right hand Pinky and Ring fingers slow but steady.

Neon Purple 2 coats could have done 3 but not bad can u see the shimmer?

Cobalt Blue 4 coats but could have gotten away with 2-3 but I straked the first coat and had to adjust to get maximum coverage.

The purple is a little darker irl. The blue is pretty accurate.

Campanula Bellflower 5 coats , Solaro Sunshine 4 coats

I was not that impressed with these they took way to many coats and than they were a terror to dry. The purple was more purple irl and I liked it more than the orange.

Well I really like the Kleancolors I paid $2 @ a local beauty supply store and I will be going back for more when i've got some more $.Also they dried fairly quickly and the smell wasnt too bad and I had read on a blog that they stunk but they were ok. The Borghese are not sharing in my love right now. I just get annoyed at long dry times and multi coats.

Well i've got some great ideas for upcoming posts so I will hopefully get them up and running soon and I hope to revamp the site soon.

A hit and a miss.....

Well I have had some Hit and Miss looks this month Color wise they were all hits, application wise not so great. Lets take a look at the pics and u be the judge.

My poor pinky and ring fingers on my right hand have suffered some big breaks this month. Hopefully they won't take too long to grow out. But it is nice to be able to show how the colors look on short nails too so I guess there is a small silver lineing.This is massini Fall promo shade _ red and wet and wild Black Creme w/ Massini Magic Attraction, and Drama Queen glitter on ends. This was a hit this was 3 coats and 2 coats glitter. Miss was my rhinestones fell off which was a bummer. But I love the colors and the glitter add in. So i'll have to work on making this a bigger hit.

Sally Hansen Violet Frost, Peek A Blue these were 4 - 5 coats due to the sheerness of the colors. The only reason this is a miss is cause my colors smudged while drying and looked like crap after. The colors are very pretty spring colors sheer but fun I was going to do some nail art on these but gave up after they smudged. Don't u hate that?

My new hair cut a HIT but my pic is a miss cause the humidity spiked and u can't see any of the great volume I had. I'll take another pic soon after I style my hair.

Frankenish All about you melody in mocha euro trash

So today we have OPI Melody in Mocha, 3 coats
w/ Sinful Euro Trash 2 coats, and All about You 2 coats. 7 coats I dont think ive ever had that much polish on my nails. Oh and Diamond top coat shit thats 8 coats no wonder it took forever and a day to dry. I was just going to use Melody in Mocha but it was kinda plain so than I had the bright idea to add euro trash and all about you. But I LOVE how it came out kinda bronze shimmer. I usually dont go for this shade but i think it lookes really nice on me.

There is alot of sparkle to this when u get it out in the sun I just couldnt capture it on film.
You can see just a little bit in this pic the orange sparkle that comes from All About You.

My poor ring finger there is hardly any nail. This is actually some grow out it broke so far down I thought I was going to lose the whole thing.

Melody In Mocha on its own. Not a bad shade just kinda plain had to spice it up a bit.

so today we have sinful lets meet - yellow w/ shimmer 3 coats and dream on- purple mat 4 coats it tends to dry a little streaky but since i was using the stripes i figured it didnt matter. im not happy with my pics they did not turn out as well as i thought they would. the yellow is more bright in real life and the purple is more purple. good color combo i thought though i also like the stripe colors. so ladies what do u think?

I really enjoy scrapbooking it can be an exspensive hobby but I try to use magazine clippings and lots of sales items to ley some of the cost. So few things you may not know about me I have lived at the Grand Canyon Natl. Park in Arizona. I worked for Xanterra and had the joy of living there from 2002- 2004. There are some scrap pages with some of my G.C. experiences. I am a great Titanic lover, long before the movie I enjoyed reading and hearing things about the Titanic. The movie just further fueled my passion I was lucky enough to get to visit the musuem in Branson,Mo. Most people know about Gizmo my maltese but here are a few pics of him when I first got him. Today we have Sun rise, Sun set w/ hidden treasure over top. Sunrise sunset used to be one of my fav polishes but for some reason i'm not really feeling it. Its still pretty but im just not loveing it how i used to guess it happens. This is 3 coats and 1 -2 swipes of hidden treasure over top.

Today we have Milani CyberSpace!

Can we say holo goodness! This is blue almost a baby blue looks kinda blue grey tone in some light. Application was good I did 3 coats. Dry time was fast like most holos. I have had this on for about 9 days and chip wear is normal but not bad for being a holo so therefor no top coat. I am very impressed and would like to get more. I picked this up at meijer for 2.99 or 3.99 can't remember. They had a green, a purple and a gold but when I went back they only had the gold left. Since im not much of a gold person I left it behind. Would love to find that green though. I have a few of the China Glaze holos and I love them so this polish lived up to my holo standard and then some. A must have if u dont have any of the CG ones. Milani has put out some great collections and are available in most drugstores. Also there makeup is very good with a rich pigment I have some of there eyeshadows so i'll try and get a review up for that soon.

Finger paints are great i only have these colors but they are nice good application and color payoff was beautiful. Would love to get som more, they have some great glitter colors out right now.

Sinful Polishes - Great price, awesome color variety, mostly good application depending on the shade, I mean come on these people have been around forever they are deffinetly doing something right. Do you guys remember Daisy the Pig? Very old shade it was amazing I don't have it anymore but if any of u do can u post a swatch. Memories...... Sorry almost broke into song. Urge over moving on. Alot of these i've shown on the site some not but I will be reposting swatches of everything in my stash soon just wanted to get the bottle shots over with.
My only complaint is Sinful polishes take forever and a day to dry. I have heard this on many blogs so I don't feel so bad. Wonderful Sinful creators can u speed up dry time other than that please keep doing everything else u have been doing. Oh and re-launch Daisy the Pig and some of the other oldies but goodies. 5*****!!!!!

First attempt at Water Marble

So here are some pics of my first water marble looks. I would like to try again soon they came out ok for a first try. I did learn a few things cold or luke warm water is the best. Hot water NOT GOOD. OPI works better than Sally Hansen but that may be cause the water was too hot. I'll have to try again with cool water.

patience although not my strong point did help me keep trying till I got some nails I liked

its pretty easy once u get started

Orly: Calypso Breeze, Mint Mojito, Prisma Gloss Gold

So my notd is alternating calypso breeze and mint mojito w/ prisma gloss gold top coat. I had actually forgotten I had another mint color and was happy to bust it out I picked these up last fall at sallys on clearance. It is not the same kind of mint as Essie Mint Candy Apple. But mint none the less. They are great colors and I really like the gloss it is very sparkly. The gloss came in a duo with the forest green color from the fairy tale collection.

Calypso is 3 coats but was fine coverage wise in 2 coats. Mint mojito was like 4 - 5 coats to get complete coverage even though it took that many coats I still love it. And Primo gloss 2 coats.

A fun summer combo that I would like to try as a water marble look when I get a chance. I had never gotten around to using the gloss and am quite happy with it. It made a very smooth top coat, beautiful shine. WOW look at all that sparkly goodness all bottled up!! Thank you Orly.The blue looks darker to me than in the pics.

So I thought I would show you ladies some great shoes that I have picked up over the last year. I have just recently started rebuilding my shoe collection. Rebuild you ask? Well not so funny story ever date an ASSHOLE? Ever have to leave the home you shared with said ASSHOLE? Yeah me too! So long story short lost some great shoes and other misc. stuff in cross state move about 5 - 6 years ago and am just now re interested in having great shoes. So with out further dwelling on past mistakes on with the SHOES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tiger Lilly Sandals The style i have is envy and they are in classic black. I have the animal add on straps and jeweled clips. These are great comfortable and wonderful support. I got them at a second hand store in Rochester, IL but you can find them at http://www.shoptigerlillys.com/

These beauties were going to be my birthday shoes but my knee was killing me so I ended up having to wear some flats. Hope to rock these real soon.

My glass slippers - the glass. I LOVE these my mom got them for me for Christmas and they are awesome. These shoes are a work of art. The heels are amazing and fun. Very comfortable!

These beauties I got last night at Meijer haven't worn em yet but plan to spice up some jeans with them real soon. These are Massini brand.

So there you have it a peek into my shoe boxes. Shoes are just like nails they come in all shapes, sizes, colors, styles.

Best of all they can be a great insperation for nail art. Can you imagine Glass slipper nails, or that great lime green with orange jewels?

Essie Mint Candy Apple, SH Hidden Treasures and Chinchilly

So I know these have already been around the blogs but they are new to me and I wanted to let everyone know what I think.

First Mint Candy Apple: I got this back in December but I didn't have a chance to post. I have worn it a few times and I really like it. My first Essie I did like the application and color payout was very pretty. I wore this mani for about a week and the wear was pretty good some tip wear but not to obvious. I do hate paying $8 for polish but it is good polish so I am willing to pay for good product. Going to have to go work on some nail art for this color.

Hidden Treasure is only on my thumb cause I wanted to see how it looked before I bought it. I kept thinking about getting it but couldn't decide but when I went to Meijer's last week they had a $1.00 off coupon so I put it to good use. Glad I picked it up I see what all the fuss is about. I think I was more balking about the price than anything. I'm not working right now so $$ is short but I figured it could be my Birthday present (june 18th) all in all I think I picked out a good gift.

Chinchilly: LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!! 3 -4 coats. Awesome color coverage Great application plus I got it for $4 on clearance at Meijer!!!! My second Essie polish and I am very impressed by there products. I am glad I waited to buy this one since I got it on sale.

HI Everyone!!!
I know I am a bad blogger. It has been months with out a post but lie got in the way and every reason I have will sound like a excuse but its really not. But I am back and hope to work my back to steady posts and reviews.

I have been told by the Dr's that i am pre cancer free!!!!!!! Big sigh of relief!!!!!!!!

2nd I am still trying to recover from my car accident from last september. Hopefully the dr's involved with the case will sign off soon and i can go on with my life.

3rd ive moved around alot in the past months and not had internet access but that seems to be solved for the moment.

Here we have Pearl by ELF and Maui By Wet and WIld.

pearl took 5 coats b4 i was satisfied with the coverage pretty color pain in the ass to apply coat wise. The polish itself was not bad just very opaq in my opinion.

maui is from wet n wilds new collection and its a mini bottle beautiful blue good coverage. 2 coats

i was just messing around so my pics are crappy but i think u will get the effect.

still no pics cause i've had a million things going on and forgot to take some of my nails or by the time i remembered they were all chipped not pretty. Will be remeding that soon with pics.

The Doctors told me I have Dysplacia or pre - cancer cells. So now I have to go have another procidure done where they scrape cells out to promote new cell growth that will hopefully be good cells. So all in all very glamorous, not really. Have any of you ladies had anything like this? Let me know its therapudic to talk or post.

So I am alive!!!!

Probably lost alot of followers but i've had some drama (understatement) going on in my life so I have been unable to blog. I do have some pics that I will be posting asap. Sally Hansen Lucky Penny part of my massive haul from the last post.

This is 3 coats could have gotten away with 2. It is amazing copper penny goodness. If you can find it GET IT!!!! Reminds me of Zoya swatches i've seen for one of there copper colors.

P.S. lots of recent nail breakage from opening and lifting boxes at work. But I still like the color even on short nails.

So today I bring you some pics of some wonderful polishes I picked up over the past weekend.

Dane's Discount - (which unfortunetly is going out of business) I found a ton of Sally Hansen gems:

1st we have from left to right: Naturistics : Ever Green Pearl, Sally hansen: Peek-A-Boo, Violet Frost, Midnight Mauve Frost, Burgundy Orchid, Lavender Sky, Scarlet Ruby.

left to right: Black Pearl Chrome, Fuchsia Chrome, Romeo Red, Lucky Penny

All of these were $0.40 each. How awesome is that all this polish for like $5.00.

Next we have Big Lots ( I just got a job there and all these gems were 90% off plus and additional 20% thanks to my discount so I got em for next to nothing)

Haul - Make up and Polish

So these are my most recent buys

1st off from Walgreen's Rimmel #830 Camouflage, Green awesome color and it was on clearance. $1.79 I think. I am asumming they are making room for new colors so everyone might want to check and see whats on sale. Rimmel is a favorite of mine I love there mascaras and there eyeshadow is great.

Also at Walgreens I picked up Borghese nail kit in Serena. $10.00 4 mini shades that I cant wait to see how they look. Swatches asap.

Next we have Sally Beauty: I went there to get hair coloring supplies over the weekend and ended up with the jewels. Fresh for the holidays Sally brand polish no names just #s the gold is #EH9239 silver is # EH9237. They are clear polish with sparkles Hexagons and circles. very cool and only 79cents with my sally card. They had some other cool holiday polish and gift sets that I will be going back for very soon. 3rd we have Meijer's I got 2 more of Massini's Fall Promo colors.
I got a red and a purple this time. I have not tried the purple yet but the red was very pretty. I will get swatches up asap.

O.k. so I went to target on Sunday in hope of finding discounted halloween goodies and came home with makeup goodies instead. So target is now selling E.L.F. or at least for the holidays they have some E.L.F. stuff. First up the eye shadow brush $1.00
Next jewel tone trio $3.00 royal purple, pearl, and dark navy. Wonderful colors and the purple is beautiful when I see my mom i'll take some pics of her nails that I painted with it. Stunning good formula 2 - 3 coats and amazing!!!!!! Plus $3.oo!!!!!!!!!!!!

Finally : Eye edition make up pallet $5.00. 12 eyeshadows 2 cream shadows and 1 eye liner 1 brush. We have Sparkle and workable, wearable shades for all occasions. I am in love. I will work up some looks with this asap and post. The price is E.L.F. affordable and the pruduct is amazing run to target before its gone. I found mine on an endcap by the makeup on the main aisle.

Last but not least we have Belle De Jour from the Gallery a salon here in springfield Rockstar Diva Signature Quad.

Amazing $30.00 ( but me being bargain gal I got it for $12.00 since it was the last one and had been open for people to look at.)Wonderful pigment and staying power w/o the aid of primer. silver, pink, drk pink, maroon. This is the salons custom line. It goes to show look everywhere and you can find awesome stuff at affordable prices.

Pink Ribbon Nails

So these are the Pink Ribbon nails that I did for my mom. I used Finger Paints Berry Shiny and Art Club Malmsy. 3 coats of berry and than I drew the ribbons on. I think it came out very well. Finger paints has a great formula and went on with out any problems. And of course Art club is awesome goes on with no problems and I love there brushes.

So I did my first set of graduating nails the other day and they turned out very well. I would like to try it again but with a brighter yellow. All in all pretty easy to do.

First off here are the colors I used: Loreal, b Angeli #915Facets , Unmarked Sally Hansen, Sinful, Daddy's Girl, Sinful, Serena and Chloe, Loreal B Impulsive #950 Crystals (not pictured for some odd reason), Love My Nails, All That

I was quite happy with the overall look of this and my mom got several compliments for her nails over the week. I am adding a couple more pics of her nails after wearing for a week. Again the only thing I would have changed was a brighter yellow for the base of the nail. Never be afraid to try new nail techniques this was fun and pretty simple to acomplish the hardest thing was waiting for it all to dry 100%.

So it was a dark and windy night..... whoops wrong story! Well its true but not exactly what you want to hear about. It has been nice and cold in Illinois recently no Indian Summer for us. I worry what winter holds weather wise polish wise i've got lots of plans. On to our swatches and a guest set of nails.

Borghese- Campanula Bell Flower - Middle Finger Alot lighter than I expected this is 4 coats. nice color though. Sort of a lilac.

Nicole - Fanatical Fuchsia -Index Finger Pink/purple 2-3 coats

OPI - Miami Beet -Thumb More purple and deeper in person 2- 3 coats

On to our guest nails that you will be seing alot more of these are my mom Sylvia's nails. She is my favorite nail client minimal bitching and she lets me do pretty much anything as long as it looks good. So this is China Glaze Free Love with Color club nail art Black Glitter. I really like Free Love good formula nice color a great fall shade. I put a little spider web on the middle fingers. I was going to get more in depth and do a spider too but she was getting tired of sitting so maybe another time.

I also have another look on our guest nails- These are those Fall Promo colors from massini I love them they are great polishes. The brown rust orange color is a duro chrome it reflects such awesome color. The purple one is glitter amazing the color is a wonderful fall/ winter shade. If you have availability to get these grab em up. i have only heard of them at meijers. If anyone ever finds these elsewhere or wants a bottle and cant find them anywhere let me know I will gladly pick one up for you. All I ask is ya pay for it and shipping and it will be done.

Then we have China Glaze Fortune Teller. Amazing color I know by now its made the blog circuit but i've got to add my 2 cents. Also I spoke about it in my last post but these are the pics! The last 2 are with the matt top coat I was so excited I missed a couple spots but now that I know what to expect I cant wait to use the polishes again and again. Have to come up with a great halloween mani just havent figured it out yet still in the brain storming stage. Gotta work fast though its almost here.

someone on a blog said this was like lava and I agree 100% that or embers from a fire it is amazing quite the conversation starter.

I will re swatch sweet and earthen opal cause they are way prettier than what came out and they are not dupes they just look like it in the pictures. there were more opal polishes at big lots so i think ill have to look for some more great color just need to take some better pics.

I do wish they would boost there formula for a quicker drying time other than that no complaints. 3 coats I love the spakle it throws.

Sally Hansen - red carpet - wonderful red glitter polish reminds me of the dorthy who polish everyone tallks about.
Sinful - nail junkie - green sparkle w/ gold flecks has awesome octogon sparkles.
Borghese- purple - campanula bell flower, awesome purple color kinda light so multi layer but very pretty ill post a pic soon the brushes for these polishes is very thick but i liked how it applied the polish. orange - solaro sunshine - have not used yet will describe better when i do pretty orange in bottle though.

I GOT IT!!!!!!!!!!!!! Matte magic is amazing!!!! China glaze has done it again I love there colors and this is beyond words it is indeed magic 1 coat and matt in all its glory.

Fortune teller more octo goodness in orange with black jelly wonderful in its own right looks like a fire with matt coat over it.

Run dont walk and get it NOW!!!!!!!! A must have!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In fact all these polishes are amazing and I say get em. They all have there own wonderful points and look that makes them amazing!!!

Massive Haul

So i've had one of those crappy times where its like everything goes wrong. I was involved in a fender bender, my computer has started acting all crazy well more accurate my internet so if my posts are iratic its from that. I am on the prowl for a new job with out anything looking good in the near future. But on to the positive I have been able to snatch up some great polish. My friend Marissa @ Trade secrets in Springfield Il gave me and my mom some rocking hair cuts! As soon as I take a good pic i'll post the new look i'm rocking plus the fun hair color!
So all in all I guess not everything is bad kinda 50/50. I am working torwards more 90/10. Well here are some pics of the new polishes. I have a Meijer, Sally's, Walgreens, Walmart, Big Lots Haul. I found wonderful polishes. Also I got the new China Glaze Matt top coat and its awesome. I recomend anyone run to the nearest Sallys and get it. I will post names asap. But I am trying to get this post done before the internet goes down on me. I will get some pics of some nail art, polish samples up asap. I have BIG plans but have been side lined with massive back pain and other issues but I hope to be 100% and start giving more to my blog. I will also have some book reviews and scrapbooking goodness. Also some hair color reviews, plus pics from my trip to the alpaca farm and some gizmo shots from some events he will be going to for halloween. Also hopefully some halloween makeup tips. I am very excited and hope you will be too just bare with me and my internet malfunctions that I will hopefully get straightend out very soon. I am trying to upload my pics and I am having a hard time so I am hoping to get them done so I can show everyone the great polishes I have come across. o.k blogger will not up load my pics i will find a way to post them tomorrow i am going to bed and try again later today.

I have had a million in one things going on and was involved in a automobile accident last week which resulted in me being at the hospital for several hours 2 different days. Stripes, Art Club and Sally

So I did some nail art the other night using the new sally polishes I got at Meijer.

First we have Gunmetal: it's a silver,grey metal color. Has almost some blue undertones. A very cool color I would recommend to anyone. Very nice for nail art I used it as a base for mine. It looks nice with the variety of colors I used for the nail art. I am sure I will get lots of use out of this color. Great application 2 -3 coats.

Next we have: In the Navy: A wonderful true navy blue. Looks blue in all lights. Now we all know that sometimes you get a dark blue and it looks almost black. I am very pleased with this color. Again it worked wonderfully with the variety of colors I used for nail art. Great application, 2 - 3 coats.

I am not sure if these are from Sally Hansen's newest line or not I think Gunmetal is but not for sure. None the less great colors and definitely a must have for fall.

Colors by fingers: Thumb:malmsy- Pink/purple & Aqua - blue

Index: Orchistra- purple & Limeade - Green

Middle: solid silver & Red Glitter

Ring: Aqua - Blue & Stripe Rite orange glitter

So for the nail art I did I just made stripes with alternating colors. A simple pattern but I like it very fun. Lots of great color but it could be simplified to a couple colors and repeated on all nails.

Meijer Haul

So I was not going to buy any polish for a very long time. But than I went to Meijer and they had Sally Hansen hard as nails Gun Metal and In the Navy for $0.64. Could not pass up .64 cent polish. They seem like great colors I will swatch them asap.

Then I went down the makeup aisle to see if there were any other good deals. I came across Massini polish on sale for $1.99/ea. Usually $2.99 not a big price difference but still a buck is a buck.

So I got Sexy siren - blue glitter

Drama Queen - red & silver glitter

Tru Passion - purple glitter

So I love these glitter polishes. They are the ultimate glitter blinged out. I have never found these any where but at Meijer but i've done some research and I think its something they have made for them specially. They are also very similar to color club nail polish from what I have heard, also some have the same name as some of color clubs polishes.

It is not a smooth polish it has a texture. But with a top coat you will be fine. My pics are with out top coat.

Definetly a must have polish for anyone.

pinky purple lavender several coats will have to be layered to get best color pay off

I know this pic is dark but it is the only way that i could show off the purple that i was able to achieve. A pretty cool color once you can get it to show up.

I know you cant see any sparkle in these pics but its there. Great for layering but not by its self. I recomend any and all of these colors.

Diamond Strength Sally Hansen Mini Polish

So these were in my nail container when my last bottle of Stop Traffic broke and ended up on everything. Had fun trying to clean that mess up. But that was the first bottle I had broken in a very long time.

I got these polishes a few christmas's ago from Walgreens I think. These are great little polishes, some you have to put a few coats to get the color you want. They dont have names on the bottle and the packaging is long gone.

So the thumb is red/pink w/ a shimmer 2 coats

index is a champaign color also a shimmer 3 coats

middle is a sea foam green very irridecent needs several coats to get the coverage shown

ring is purple/ violet very irridecent 3 coats

pinky blue shimmer very pretty needs several coats to get the coverage shown

I am going to try and put some of the more sheer colors over a black and see what comes of it. They are nice little polishes I just wish they had the names on them. I have two more bottles of the diamond strength and some indulge polishes to show u in the next post.

O.P.I Yoga-ta get this blue & Orly Nail Bonder and In A Snap

Please ignore my cuticals and the extra polish on my hand and not my nail. ( looks like a 2yr old did my nails) I have been at home the last couple days and really didn't have the patience to clean up my nails. That and my cuticals need trimmed but I haven't had the funds to go and get it done.

So this is a oldy but goody. Yogata get this blue is from OPI'S India Collection. I have had it for a couple years and I like it alot. It is a true dark blue, does not look black in any light. Also has some sparkle like flecks in certain light. This collection was really cool but I think this is the only color I ever bought from it. I think I got some lipstick from this collection but I'll have to dig around and find it.

Also I have been using orly nail bonder and in a snap. Since i'm broke and can't afford a new bottle of Sallys hard as nails till friday. I thought i would try out the bonder. I didn't use anything for a couple days and noticed some discoloration on my nails from the polishes so thought I better try some thing. I got this from a kit at sallys a month or so ago that is for french nail design. It works pretty good. There is a bit of a smell. But nothing toxic just a slight rubber glue type smell. Kinda odd but whatever. In a snap I may or may not buy again if I ever empty this bottle. It does smooth the nail very well. But I have seen lots of tip wear and I have only had this on for like 2 days. Not long enough to justify. I don;t know maybe i'm just being picky. That and is made for orly polishes and I have been using it with other brands but still there should not be that big of a deal everyone mixes and matches. Being as I got it on sale not a big deal. Try the bonder for sure and make your on choice on in a snap but if you need to smooth out a polish deffinetly try it.

Cross hatch pattern

So I saw some cool nail art on Nail Art Tuesday:

She did this awesome crosshatch pattern so I thought I would try and duplicate it. Now she used pink and gold but I used pink and Silver.

My left hand came out pretty good. But than I had 10 different people call my house and as I was trying to do my right hand and get them all off my phone. So it was not as great. So than I got annoyed and decided to take it all off. But not before taking some pics. I like the pink and silver combo. Also the application was great from my rimmel stop traffic and my color art silver. Next time I decide to embark on some intense nail art I think ill let the machine get all the calls.

A word of advice make sure almost all the polish is off the nail art brush, you want thin smooth lines. I am showing both hands so you can tell where my brush strokes were too wide. You want thin if you get too thick it starts to look sloppy.

The middle finger has towards the bottom to thick of a brush stroke as well. Not as noticible but you want to stay pretty uniform. But for doing it by hand not too bad.

See everything was going ok till the bottom brush stroke too thick. Now I was going to go in and fill in some of the diamonds so it was not such a big deal with this particular nail.
I know this pic is fuzzy but I added it cause I wanted to show what happens if the lines are too thick. It will mess up the pattern as you can see on my middle finger. Way to thick and than the pattern is lost.
Now on the other hand (litterly ha ha does anyone remember that song from the 80's maybe early 90's by Randy travis. ) The pattern is almost perfect. Thin lines and a good crosshatch.

It is a fun pattern not really hard to make just need some patience and remember to turn the phone off.

Orly - walk down the aisle, color club - worth the risque, blue glitter stripe

So I did this awesome french mani with orly and color club.

Orly - walk down the aisle - a very sheer extreme light blue with glitter/shimmer. 3 - 5 coats to get this

color club - worth the risque - is a awesome holo silver shimmer. I love this color! Its amazing holo goodness! Application is dream with the polish. 2 coats at most

striper - blue glitter - good application if ya get the brush clean enough i get anoyed with the brush sometimes its not stiff enough but all in all a great product for nail art.

so i used orly for the base and than color club for the tips and the striper for the smile line.

I am pretty happy with how this came out I just need to work on my stripe skills. I will definetly work on this one to make it better.

So I am loving all these colors in there own ways. Application was fine for all in varrious levals. Some needed more coats than others, but not a big deal it happens. The color payoff was awesome.

Colors on fingers are as follows:

Left hand: Pinky -yellow l.a. colors

Ring -pink l.a. colors

Middle - short n sassy china glaze

Index - calypso blue orly

Thumb - mint mojito orly

Right hand: Thumb - pink l.a. colors

Index - blue l.a. colors

Middle - amaranth n.y summer

Ring - withc's blue orly

Pinky - hot sky blue n.y summer

First off Orly: I am a little late in the game reviewing since these are older colors but they are brand new to me so I am going to add my 2 cents. I went to Sally's Beauty and they had Mint Mojito and Calypso Breez on clearance $2.99 each. So great price! Orly continues to please me with great product. The mint is fun and summery. Took 3 - 4 coats to get the shade but I LOVE IT! Calypso Breez 2 coats and blue goodness! A nice blue for all seasons. Witch's Blue from my Trans Design haul. Dark Blue with shimmer. Almost a dupe for yagota get this blue by OPI. 2 coats and awesome. A good fall or winter shade.

Next China Glaze: Short and Sassy from the new 70's collection. Dark vampy red w/ a tinge of almost black 2 coats and your good. Love it!

New York Summer: Amaranth green I did 2 coats but needed 3. Kinda dried matt almost looks like a crayon sleek and new. Very cool

Same goes for Hot Sky Blue 2 coats but could use 3. Same matt new cayon look. Awesome colors, also from trans design the only site i've found them for sale on.

Finally L.A. Colors Amp'd collection. No color names. But they were only $3.50 at Deals. Fun summer polish. Bright, Funky, definetly Intense! I also reviewed the High voltage collection a few posts back. If you don't have a Deals I have seen these at Cherry Culture for $6.50. Nice application and Great color.

Yellow is pretty sheer but good application compared to some yellows. shimmer and its like gold sparkle. 4 - 5 coats

Purple pink is almost a fushia. Great color 2 -3 coats

Pink is bright and sparkly 2 - 3 coats. Screams Summer!

Blue is darker but lighter than Witches blue but same concept shimmer fun. 2 - 3 coats

If you don't have these already get your self to sallys, transdesign, cherry culture and stock up they are awesome and you need them in your life.

Orly Prim & Proper, New York Summer Alpha Jewel Glitter

So I took about 150 pics of this because non of them were capturing the real look of this polish. But I finally came up with a few that were not to bad. Orly Prim and Proper is a pink lilac shade. And New York Summer Alpha Jewel Glitter is a glitter that is awesome. It has massive payout sparkle wise. Both were good application although I think I should have put 1 more layer of Prim and Proper. This is only 2 coats.

China Glaze Free Love

So this is a fun funky orange. Application was good like all the other CG polishes i've tried. 2 coats and great color. My nails have been breaking left and right so they are pretty short. But I think it looks fine on short nails. I will have to use this for some Halloween and fall nail looks. If you are looking for a fun orange I would say get it, it almost has a shimmer to it, very vibrant orange.

NOTD CG IDK and Urban Decay review

So I changed my nails again this time I used China Glaze IDK. I love this color i've worn it once b4 but forgot to take pics so this time there are pics!!! It is a wonderful holo lilac/lavender purple. I am madly in love with these holo polishes and slowly but steadily adding to my collectioI did use a fast dry top coat although i've heard u shouldnt with halos since it will reduce some of the halo effect. But mine seems fine. I am still getting 100% halo goodness. So just apply topcoat at your own risk. I will do some more in depth halo reviews on the other polishes I have when there is time. Also i'm going to add a pic of some Urban Decay eyeshadow I used today. I used fishnet and ransom from the delux shadow box set. Pic from urban decays site i'll take some of mine and add when I get a chance. This pallet is amazing i've had it since Feb and am in love with it. I will do more swatches of other color too maybe in a couple days. If you do not have this pallet its worth every penny the color pay out is not done justice in this picture. It is so intence. I will try and take some better pics to show the colors off next week. This was with out primer potion. The set does come with sample primer which is wonderful stuff I just cant find mine at the moment so I had to let it go solo but I was still VERY VERY HAPPY with the staying power and the color payoff.
The colors I used are top left row fishnet and top right row ransom. I will get some better pics asap.

NOTD & TOTD Makeup review

So today I am rocking Sally Hanson Xtreme Wear #50 Rockstar Pink. (what a tongue twister) over Rimmel #280 StopTraffic. I have had stop traffic before but than my bottle was broken in a little nail polish mishap and I had to rebuy it. Rockstar Pink is from sally new line though. I like the rockstar over stop traffic it add a fun edge. Although stop traffic shines on its own together they are unstopable! Deffinetly a must have if you don't already have them. Also as a bonus stop traffic dries in 60 seconds!

On to my toes. Yes a hideous toe pic. There toes they look toey. Sorry for any future traumas I may inflict with these pics. But I did pick up the new wet and wild polish in morbid.Kind of a vampy green/grey. I like it but i'm thinking more for a manicure next time. Its nice for fall and winter so another recomend. I think I paid a $1.99 maybe 2.99 don't remember but not outrages. The bottle reminds me of the mac polish bottles that i've seen in pics. Gizmo had the funniest look on his face when I was trying to take my toe pic. Like what r u doing mom. And r u sure u want people looking at ur toes?

So on to the make up review. My pics are kinda not up to par I will try and do a look with this soon and post pics. The color pay off is awesome for this L.A. Colors Tease pallet. I found this at family dollar for $2.50 I think. But after swatching it I would have paid more way more.

The pigment is wonderful in this u cant see the orange and yellow very well in the pic but they are awesome as well! Another must have if you like fun colors! Also for franken polish this might be interesting.

On a personal note i'm going to the chiropractors to get my knee looked at on Sat so hopefully they will work there mojo and make me all better. My knee is in so much pain that I have made my house smell like a nursing home with as much icy hot as ive been using i should buy stock. My 4th of July Look!!! Love the hair clips!!!!!!!!!!!!

Another Deals haul. I have finally decided to try some matt polish since reading about it on all the polish blogs. I have to say I like it. I did add some sparkle to it but even with out the bling I liked it. There was also a grape color that I got but no pics yet. Probably try it in the next week or so. My nails have been breaking and some peeling recently so i've been trying not to change colors more than 2 times a week. But I might change them again tonight I also got some finger paints polish so they might be the next pics I post.

L.A. Colors Intense/ Sinful ufo

So today i'm going to let you in on the best kept secret there is a place called Deals in my town. It's like the dollar store or family dollar but with some cooler finds. But you have to snatch them up then and there, there is no oh i'll come back cause if you go back they will not have it.

That said on to the polish I scored for $3.00 for 4 bottles of polish that i've found online for no cheaper than $6 plus shipping.

I like them well enough. They need at least 3 coats but other than that its nice not to streaky.
The Sinful polish on the middle finger is UFO. Pretty color kinda translucent. Have to work on finding a happy medium with that color. Or more patience I think I was in a hurry the day I took these pics

The next time I was in Deals they did not have any more of these. But they did have other L.A. color makeups. So maybe i'll grab some the next time i'm in. I'm sure I will bust these out again soon and take some more pics.

Well June 18th is my 25th birthday and I am EXCITED!!!!!!! Quater of a century old!!!!!! So anyone near Springfield Il Please feel free to join me as I celebrate with all my friends and family. We will be doing the bar thing the 18th and a cook out the 21st!!!! The more the merrier!!!

SO here are some nails I did a week or two ago after I broke some of my nails. I used China Glaze Spontaneous and sinful blue/purple glitter/ purple gliter nail art pen.

I was very happy with them! I think the pics speak for themselves. There are some chips on the nails cause I didnt get around to taking pics till right before I switches to something else.

Cherry Culture Haul Pt 2

So I finally recieved my 2nd haul from Cherry Culture. After it took a little vacation to Ohio and than back to Missouri and than finally Home sweet home Illinois. Don't ask me why it passed throught my state 3 times before making it to my door. I do not blame the company I blame the assholes at the damn post office. If you are a postal worker and reading my blog please feel free to explain to me what the hell is wrong with you, and every other shipping company, Yeah I am talking to you UPS, Fed Ex, DHL, and those I may have forgotten to mention during my little rant.

meijer allthough they made me mad last week and i walked out with out buying anything i went back and got some color club nail art in solid silver and aqua. Still an ok price. But not as cheap as 88 beauty supply.

But i did get to bring them right home.

I also went and got my cuticals trimmed at the local cosmotology school so they look ok but I think they could look better might have to go back next week. I know there learning but shouldnt they learn to do it right the 1st time? Owell i guess i expect too much from the world a friendly cashier and someone to do what im paying them to do.

I will also be adding some new nail art i;m just too tired to work on it tonight. 9 hr shifts with no break are starting to catch up with me.

So I bought my first bottle of Orly np this weekend. And I must say I was very impressed. I got My Beau #40677 at walgreens on clearance for $3.49. (not sure if thats a good price but I was o.k. with it). Also I got Arissa a new brand at family dollar $2.00 in rockin amethyst. Worth the money very nice application. My pics are not that great cause I was at work all day around chemicals and opening boxes so there is some wear and tear but I think you will get the general idea. I have also put in orders to eighty eight beauty and Cherry culture. So hopefully they will arive soon. I am very excited cherry culture has NYX 50% off till the 15th so take advantage and shipping is very resonable.

I was very happy with the application mine just looks funky from work. Plus i didnt get good pics cause its dark out of the bottles and my cam batteries died so no reshots till new ones.

Its a cool purple with flecks. $2.00 I am saying grab it next time your in a family dollar they have other colors that was just the one that caught my eye. If you dont have any orly try walgreens clearance its a nice base color I am going to try some stamping over it. Look for posts soon.

So I was going to do some nail stamping when I got off work today. But I have felt like the world is spining. Not a ride I stood in line for. So I figured nail polish fumes even as well ventalated as I try to be. Did not seem like a good idea. So I will be back with more stamps tomorrow.

I was able to get a perfect ladybug with little to no effort! I also did some flowers that came out pretty good. Also thought i'd show you what i'm working with so there are pics of the stamps and of my bare semi clean nails.

Nail stamping

O.k. so i like my new nail stamper. i am not going to post any pics just yet. i am starting to get the hang of it but i think i am going to practice on some paper before i try on my nails. I did get a crab a butterfly and a ladybug to work but i was a little of kilter and they were a little to high on the nail but for the most part they were ok. i will post some pics in a day or 2. I have seen videos on youtube of the set i got. It was bought on ebay and as far as i know only one person sells them on there lee paul designs. not a bad price so check it out. Also I think it might be easier than konad or at least that is what i have heard from some other people who have this. But since i dont have konad i do not know. I know this was pretty easy once i started to get the hang of it. I just want to experimant more b4 posting pics.

#813 Whats you name Black/extreme blue? has blue flecks that hit the light just right very cool. 2 coats and your good maybe 3 but no more.

Also never underestimate the great and different places you can find nail polish. Like meijer ive stumbled across some great brands i've found no where else. The chinese store has great polish and I also found rhinestones for pretty cheep. I've read on many blogs about finding great polish in wierd or unusual places so just keep an open mind.

So I recently stumbled across Nail art club by color club GREAT STUFF!!! $2.99 at my local Meijers. I am inclosing some pics of some nail art I acomplished with it. There brush was awesome. I got 2 colors hologram( sparkle) and orchistra(purple) but now since I love em I might have to go back for more. I will definetly have to look into some of there other polishes i've seen em up on other blogs but never knew they had the nail art polishes. I am very pleased and will be looking into getting some more.Definetly recomend them if you like nail art.

This nail art was achieved using

Revlon............ Sweet nothings.....Rendez-Blue.........Base Nail Color

Stripe Rite..........Blue, Black, Gold

Wet n Wild..........French White Cream

Dotting tool

and as always Sally Hansen Nailgrowth mirical salon strength. base coat.

How to acomlish this look:

Take rendez-Blue I used about 2 - 3 coats to get the desired shade. Take your stripe rites and start at the base right hand side and make a stripe with each color. Not too long. Kinda depending on the nail length. Alternate the color stipes. Than take the wet n wild and use your doting tool to make white dots around the stries.

There you have it. Rendez Blue is very pretty but very opaque so you might add more coats as to reach your desired effet. It also is reflective kinda a pink almost in certain light. It was a fun design to make hope you try it and enjoy.

Living with a Maltese

Meet Gizmo------>

He is my boyfriend Mohamed and I's 1 1/2 yr old maltese. Living with him is crazy and funny at its best. At its worst its spastic. He is a puppy so that totally explains that part. I had never had a maltese before so it has been a asdventure. He is a great dog and I love him like a child. Sometimes I think my friends get annoyed that I refer to him as my kid. But damnit I listen to there kid stories they can listen to my puppy kid storries. Besides I think mine are funnier. Plus when my kid makes me angry I can put him in a cage Ha beat that! Having Gizmo is like any thing else in life annoying sometimes but you would not give it up for anything. So i'm going to share some fun Gizmo pics.

Dark Pleasures - Steel-Etto

No i'm not writing about some cheezy romance novel. Although I am guilty of reading them from time to time. No this post is about revlon nail polish. I took some pics and I was a little disapointed in the quality but I think you can still get a good idea of whats going on. Now I do like this color but the polish is a little sketchy. It was sheer consistant at first but it went darker 2nd coat by 3rd it was a great color. I would have liked to have seen a smoother application. Some nails are a little ruff. All in all I got it at Big Lots and I would probably buy it again with some more patience I think it would work well. The color is a Silvery-black almost reminds me of a cast iron skillet or cauldron. Over all opinion buy it just have some patience with the application process.

Hot Pink and Black nails

So I created some great black/pink nails to match the outfit i wore to my friends wedding over the weekend. I used a small mini bottle of sally hanson pink and black stripe polish. I would like to try this look again I think I can make it into a tiger stripe with enough work. I will also include a pic of my awesome hat that inspired the look. The hat was the best part of my outfit I picked it up when we were down in Louieville,KY. Great Place that I highly recomend visiting.

Sorry for the fuzzy pics this is the best I can do till I find the other camera. You kinda get an idea of what I did. Just through blurry eyes. I was able to get the cam to take great pics of the bottles. I also used Sally Hansen Mega Shine Top Coat. Great stuff it has kept my polish vertually chip free since last Sunday night.

So my Polish for this week has been really cool dots using the Milani Polish Neon lights and Pink out loud. Pink out loud is a great hot pink with sparkle. Neon Lights also has the same sparkle effect. With some fun nail art crystals I got at the dollar tree. Definetly check em out if there is a store in your area.

Easter nails

So these are my Easter nails. The pic is not that great but I used Wet and wild in French white for a base. Varies rite stripe polishes for the designs. And Neon Lights milani for the dots. I recomend all these brands they are great! The wet and wild and the Milani you can get at any drugstore. Usually they are on sale so check them out. The stripes are from Sallys. If you can get past the rude sales staff they are great polishes and I have been experiminting with them ever since I discovered them a few weeks back. Also I always bottom coat with Sally Hansen Nail growth miracle. Protects your nails and helps them grow. I've been using it for years.
